Your DCJS registration does not last forever, and letting it lapse can cost you work. We run the in-service and firearms requalification classes that keep you current, in Manassas, on a regular Monday and Friday schedule.
In-service renewal
- Security Officer In-Service (01I), 4 hours, $50
- Private Investigator In-Service (02I), 8 hours, $100
Firearms requalification
- Firearms Requalification (07R), 4 hours, $110
- Shotgun Requalification (08R), 3 hours, $110
- Advanced Handgun Requalification (09R), 7 hours, $110
- Patrol Rifle Requalification (10R), 4 hours, $110
A schedule that fits shift work
We hold renewals and requalification on Mondays and Fridays, so you can stay current without rearranging your week.
Do not wait for the deadline
Renewing before your expiration date is far easier than restarting after a lapse. If you have already lapsed, talk to us and we will lay out the fastest path back.
Common questions
When should I renew?
Before your registration expires. Book a few weeks out.
Do armed officers need both?
Yes. In-service and firearms requalification are separate requirements.
