Privacy Policy

Fidus Security Solutions runs this website. This page explains what the site collects when you use it, and who handles that information for us.

What you send us

The site has two forms. You choose what to send, and we use it only to answer your request.

  • Free Security Assessment, on our contact page: your name, email address and phone number, the service you need, and a message.
  • Training Inquiry: your name, email address and phone number, the course you are asking about, your group size, and a message.

Phone number, group size and message are optional. With each request, the site also records the page you sent it from, how you reached the site (a search engine, a link or an ad campaign, for example), your IP address, and your browser and device type.

Where your request goes

  • WPForms, the form tool on this site, saves it in the site’s database.
  • Voyager Orbit, a plugin on this site, records it as a lead. Orbit sends a copy to Voyager Marketing, the company that builds and runs this website for us, so it can keep the forms working and report to us on the requests the site brings in.
  • An email with your request goes to our inbox at info@fidussec.com. Postmark, an email delivery service, sends that email for us.

Calling us from the site

When you tap a phone number on the site, Orbit records the tap, the page it was on, how you reached the site, your IP address and your browser type. It does not record your phone number.

Paying for a class

Register and Pay takes you to Stripe. You pay on Stripe’s checkout page, and Stripe handles your card or bank details. This site never sees them.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. This site sets these:

  • vl_user_id: a random visitor ID from Voyager Orbit, so a later request can be linked to your first visit. It lasts two years.
  • vl_landing_url, vl_landing_title and vl_referrer: the first page you opened and the site that sent you. They last 30 days.
  • utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content and gclid: the campaign tags in the link you followed, when it has any. They last seven days.
  • _wpfuuid: a random ID that WPForms sets on pages with a form, so it can tell one visitor’s requests from another’s. It lasts about 11 years.
  • _ga, and _ga_ followed by an ID: Google Analytics cookies that tell one visit from the next. They last two years.

Orbit also keeps your visitor ID in your browser’s local storage, along with a session ID that resets after 30 minutes without activity. You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits. It records the pages you view, how you reached the site, your device and browser type, and your general location. Google Search Console shows us how the site appears in Google search results. It sets no cookies in your browser.

WPForms also measures how each form is used, such as which fields people fill in and how long that takes. That record stays on our server.

Hosting

The site runs on a server managed with SpinupWP. Cloudflare runs the domain name system (DNS) that points browsers to that server. Like most web servers, ours keeps a log of each request, with your IP address, the page and your browser type. We use that log to keep the site running and secure.
